Dr. Sara Doolin-Thompson, DNP, APRN-BC, FNP-C, APDM-C

Dr. Sara Doolin-Thompson, DNP, APRN-BC, FNP-C, APDM-C, is a board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice and the founder of Wesleyan Urgent Care in Owensboro, Kentucky. Dr. Doolin-Thompson is originally from Kentucky and has dedicated more than 39 years of her life to helping people all around the world with their acute and chronic needs.  

She completed her Doctorate of Nursing practice (with a focus in endocrinology) at Walden University in Baltimore, Maryland and Honolulu, Hawaii.

Dr. Doolin-Thompson is exceptionally gifted and passionate about her role as a provider in patients’ health care journeys. Her professional life encompasses years of experience in clinical, managerial, and leadership roles. 

She has worked with some of the most complex adult patients through clinical evaluation, family and emergency medicine, endocrinology, trauma surgery, adult and pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, and intensive care. Dr. Doolin-Thompson also completed her residency in women’s health, encompassing over 14 years of esthetic training and experience, where she founded her medical spa, Sublime Skin.

One of Dr. Doolin-Thompson's biggest passions has been working with medical mission teams, providing medical attention and surgical procedures to serve underprivileged patients in the United States as well as many other countries around the world. She feels that the best thing about being in healthcare is helping people achieve an improved quality of life.
